List of Agricultural Universities of Bangladesh

There are seven agricultural universities in Bangladesh. All these universities deal with different agriculture related subjects. The seat numbers are also different. The agricultural universities are

• Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh
• Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University, Gazipur
• Sher-E-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka
• Sylhet Agricultural University, Sylhet
• Patuakhali Science and Technology University, Patuakhali
• Chittagong Veterinary and Animal Science University, Chittagong
• Khulna Agricultural University

Here some of the universities are dedicated for agricultural subjects only. Some are Science and technology University.

Bangladesh Agricultural University Subject List

This University is situated in Mymensingh Districts of Bangladesh. BAU is one of the oldest agricultural Universities in Bangladesh. Bangladesh Agricultural University has a total of 6 faculties. Each of the faculties comprises of One or more Subjects. The Faculties and subjects along with the seat number are given below

Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University Subject List

BSMRAU is located in Gazipur Bangladesh. In this university there are only 4 subjects are available. Total 330 seats are available for the admission in this university. The subjects along with seat number are given below.

Sher-E-Bangla Agricultural University Subject List

There are Four faculties are available in the Sher-E-Bangla Agricultural Universities in Bangladesh. It is mentionable that it is the oldest Agricultural Universities of Bangladesh. The Faculties are

• Faculty of Agriculture
• Faculty Agrobusiness Managements
• Animal Science and Veterinary Faculties
• Fisheries and aquaculture and Marine Science

In Agriculture faculties there are 387 seats for the students. Agrobusiness Managements Faculties provides two degrees BBA in Agrobusiness and BSc in Agricultural Economics. This faculty has total 142 seats. Veterinary and Fisheries faculty has 114 and 61 seats respectively. The total seat number is 704.

Sylhet Agricultural University Subjects

Sylhet Agricultural University has is also known as SAU. It has total 431 seats for the students of undergraduate level. The subjects and seat number are given in the following table.

Patuakhali University of Science and Technology Subjects

This is actually a science and technology university. There are some other subjects in PUST. We have added the agriculture related subjects first here. We have added in the additional subjects in the last of the section.

The Agriculture based subjects are

• Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine
• Disaster Management
• Nutrition and Food Sciences

Besides these, there are three additional subjects. The subjects are

• Computer Science and Engineering
• Business Studies and Managements
• Land Managements and Administrations
• Law and Land Administration

Chittagong Veterinary and Animal Science University Subjects

This is university is located in the port city Chittagong. There are only three subjects which belongs to 245 seats. The Subjects are

• Veterinary Medicine
• Food Science and Technology
• Fisheries

In the above three subjects three subjects there are 100, 80 and 64 seats respectively. There are some seats which is reserves for Freedom Fighters Family and tribes.

Khulna Agricultural University

This is the last university in our list. Khulna Agricultural University which is known as KAU. There is a total of 150 seats in 5 subjects. Each of the subjects consists of 30 seats. It is relatively small university. The Subjects are

• Veterinary, Animal and Biomedical Sciences
• Agriculture
• Fisheries and Ocean Science
• Agricultural Economics and Agrobusiness Studies
• Agricultural Engineering and Technology

Last but not least. These are the subjects of different agricultural universities in Bangladesh. It is mentionable that, Bangladesh Government and the Education Ministry of Bangladesh have taken the decision to take a combined admission test for all agricultural universities.
