Previously I have mentioned the top 10 private universities in Bangladesh. After that here is the list of top 10 universities in Bangladesh. In this list, I have added all the university of Bangladesh e.g. public universities, private universities, medical colleges, and engineering universities. This list based on world university ranking.

Bangladesh University of Engineering Technology
Bangladesh University of Engineering Technology (BUET) is the best university in Bangladesh. It ranks (last access date: December 2016) 1867 in the world. It is an engineering University. This university started its journey in 1912. From that time this engineering institution is providing quality education in engineering and architectural studies. Every year 1030 undergraduate students and 1000 graduate students join in this institute.BUET obtained 159 positions in the Asian university according to the QS ranking of 2016.
University of Dhaka
Dhaka University is the best general university in Bangladesh. It has achieved a 2096 position in the world ranking. After the BUET this university, this university takes its position. It is the 2nd best university in Bangladesh. It is the oldest university in Bangladesh. The University of Dhaka plays a different important role in the different situation of Bangladesh. The University has more than 33000 students with 1800 faculty members. Different notable alumni of Dhaka University made this university more famous. Noble Winner DR. Muhammad Younus, Father of the Nation Sheik Mujibur Rahman and many more person were from the DU
University of Rajshahi
Rajshahi University is the largest university in the northern area of Bangladesh. This university covers more three square kilometers. Almost twenty-five thousands of students with thousand academic members are enriching this campus. In 1953 this university was established. The highest number of international journal access made this university exceptional. RU ranks third in the Bangladesh Ranking.
BRAC University
BRAC University has stood 4th in the ranking of Bangladeshi university. It is the best private university in Bangladesh. The world ranking of this university is 2635 which is better than any other public university except BUET and DU. The third Position is acquired by Rajshahi University. BRAC is top in Private University Ranking.
University of Chittagong
Chittagong University is one of the best multidisciplinary public universities in Bangladesh. More the 22000 students are engaged in various departments to get various degrees. This university established in 1966. It is situated a little distance from the urban area. It obtains the fifth position in the University ranking of Bangladesh.
Jahangirnagar University
Jahangirnagar University is a residential public university in Bangladesh. It situated in Savar. The Unversity is established in 1970. At that time this institution was known as Jahangirnagar Muslim University. There are 34 departments with six faculties are available in this university. It is the sixth-best university in Bangladesh according to the World ranking.
Bangladesh Agricultural University
The name of Bangladesh Agricultural University refers to its types. This university is situated in Mymensingh. It was one of the highest budgeted public universities in Bangladesh. In the year of 1961, this institute starts its journey with animal husbandry and veterinary science. At this moment this university has six faculties with 43 departments. It is one of the top leading universities too.
Shahjalal University of Science & Technology
SUST is the first university that follows the American System. It is also the first public university which is established in 1984 for the research of science and technology. There are 16 Ph.D. granting universities in Bangladesh. Shahjalal University of Science & Technology is one of them. It is a nonprofit research institution.
Independent University of Bangladesh
It is one of the leading private universities in Bangladesh. This is also the second private university which obtains the position nine out of ten among the private & Public university. In the year of 1993, this university was established in the Bashundhara Residential Area.
Khulna University of Engineering Technology
Former BIT of Khulna District is known as the present KUET, Khulna University of Engineering Technology. It is the second engineering university according to the university ranking of Bangladesh. Quality education with dedication makes this university prominence.
