Khulna University is one of the well-known public university in Bangladesh. In 1991, Ku started its journey. From his very beginning of the journey, the KU campus is free from politics and smoking. The university is located on Gollamari Khulna on Khulna Satkhira Highway.

Khulna University Admission Units
Very first time this university has only four subjects. In the passage of time, the university grown up. There are 29 subjects for undergraduate students. For the help of admission management, the university has divided all the subject according to the Units. There are four units in KU. Each of the Units consists of a group of similar types of subjects.
A Units
This unit is also known as Science, Engineering, Technology and Biological School. Here all the subjects are related to above Science. A Student can easily get admit himself by appearing the A Unit Admission Test of KU.
B Units
B Units are basically for the lovers of Arts, Humanities, Sociology Subjects, Law and Educations. This unit consist of very few subjects. Near about 400 Seats are available for the students. If any want to learn about literature, law etc. then he has to take admission form in B Units.
C Unit
Managements and Business administration related subjects are available on Khulna University C Unit. In the era of global economic market, this unit try to teach their students about the business through this units.
D Unit
It is hard to find anybody who don’t love fine arts. Khulna University is clearly ahead in this case. They provide the opportunity to the students who love arts and culture. That’s the reason, this university placed a separate unit for admission to provide the quality education to their students about Fine arts and culture.
Khulna University Subject List
As we have mentioned earlier, the university started its journey on 1991 with four disciplines. Every year they enlisted different subjects as a part of full filling the demand. Now this university has almost 29 different subjects. Here we have made a list according to the Units.
KU A Unit Subject list
A Units is related to Science and technology. In this units there are 15 subjects with different seat numbers. There also some reserve seats here. All the courses are four years duration except architecture. Architecture students have to study five years to complete the honors level

Total 662 student can get admitted in A Unit in the above-mentioned subjects. Here it is noted that, total 30 (15+15) seats are reserved for the Freedom fighters and Ethentic group. Except these, 2 extra seats for the BKSP Students.
Khulna University B Unit Subjects
There are four schools in the KU Unit B. These are Arts and Humanities School, Social Science School, Law and Education School. In this four school there are 9 subjects available. The Subjects are given below according to Faculty.
Arts and Humanities
Arts and Humanities school comprises 3 subjects. The subjects are English, Bengal, History and Civilization. In English and Bengali department there are 57 seats available for students. In History and Civilization there are 10 seats.
School of Social Science
There are four subjects in this school. The subjects are
- Economics
- Sociology
- Development Studies
- Journalism and Mass Communication
In the above-mentioned departments, there 180 seats are available. 90 seats (45+ 45) Economics and Development studies departments. Sociology has 50 seats where Journalism and Mass communication has only 40 seats for the students.
School of Law
School of Law has only one subjects which is Law. 40 seats are available where there is 01 seats for the Freedom fighters and One seats for the ethnic groups of Bangladesh.
School of Education
To make different research on Education this school has introduced. Here only 25 students can be able to get admit himself. 2 (1+1) seats are reserved for the quota
Beside this, there are total (9+9) seats are reserved on B Unit for the family members of Freedom Fighter and Ethnic people of the country.
C Unit Subjects of KU
Khulna University Management and Business administration department run this unit. In this unit there are two Subjects. Total 96 Seats are available on this unit. The Subjects are
Business Administration: Total 53 seats for general students. One seat for family member of Freedom Fighter and One seat for Ethnic people.
Human Resource Management: This discipline take 38 general student and 02 student from quota system. Total 40 student comprises this department.
D Unit Subject list of Khulna University
This unit is the belonging of School of Fine arts. There are three subjects in this units. All the subjects are related to Fine arts. The subjects are
- Drawing and Painting
- Printmaking
- Sculpture
All the subjects have total 20 seats individually. Out 20 seats. there are two seats are reserved for the quota students.

Khulna University has very few subjects in comparison with the other public university of Bangladesh. As the university is also new if I compare with the other public university e.g. Dhaka University, Chittagong University etc. Hope, Khulna University Subject list will be grown faster.
