Rangamati Science and Technology University is a newly formed public university which is situated in the Rangamati District of Bangladesh. This university starts its journey in 2014. It is affiliated by the University Grant Commission, Bangladesh. As it is very new, the admission test competition is very low. There are only a few seats and two departments in this institution.

RMSTU Admission Requirements
As we have mentioned earlier there is only two departments in this university. Those who interested to get admitted himself in the Rangamati Science and Technology University, they should have a clear concept about the RMSTU Admission requirements. RMSTU A Unit Admission requirement
RMSTU A Unit has only one subjects. This is Computer Science and Engineering. In this unit, Students from General Education Board and Diploma Students can apply. Below we have provided the details requirements of RMSTU A Unit Admission.
General Education Boards Students
- Candidates pass SSC / Dakhil from any education board of Bangladesh
- SSC Passing year Should be 2018 or 2017
- Candidates have to pass HSC from Science Group
- Total GPA 6.50 is the minimum requirements
- Candidates have to obtain GPA 3.50 SSC or HSC Exam
Diploma Students
- SSC Passing year must be 2017 or 2018
- Candidates have to pass SSC from Science Group
- Minimum SSC GPA 3.00 is required
- Diploma in Computer Science passing year is 2019 and 2020
- Minimum CGPA 2.50 including 4th Subjects
- Minimal 5.50 is required in total SSC and Diploma
RMSTU B Unit Admission Requirement
Like A Unit, RMSTU B Unit has only one department. This Business Management Department. Here also candidates from general education board and diploma students can apply. The requirements are given below according to the student category.
General Education Board Students
- Candidates have to pass SSC or Equivalent exam in 2018 or 2017
- HSC passing year of the candidates is 2020 and 2021
- They have to obtain a minimum 2.50 GPA in individual Exam
- The total GPA Score must be 5.50 or above
- GPA will be counted including 4th subjects
Diploma Students requirements
- The candidates who have passed SSC 2016 or 2017 can apply
- Candidates must have completed the Diploma in Commerce, Diploma in Business Studies or Diploma in managements
- The diploma passing year must be 2021 or 2020
- Minimal 5.50 GPA (SSC+ Diploma) is the basic requirement of applying
- The minimum GPA 2.50 has to obtain individually in SSC and Diploma
How to apply for the RMSTU Admission
As there are two types of students can apply, they have to follow the separate format. According to the Teletalk and RMSTU Circular, we have written the details procedure below.

This example is used as a sample. A candidate who passed the SSC in 2016 From Dhaka Education board is applying for RMSTU A Unit they can follow this example. 123456 will be replaced by the applicant’s roll number of SSC and HSC

Confirmation SMS Formate
The example shows a sample candidates application process. The candidates pass diploma in 2017 and SSC in 2013. He is applying for RMSTU A Unit. The data should have to replace with the candidate’s information.
If a candidate can send the SMS correctly, he will get a return SMS including PIN Number. He has to make confirmation again. During the confirmation, 675 BDT will be deducted from the mobile account. It is recommended to check balance before making confirmation. The Confirmation SMS Format is

Receiving User ID and Password
After sending the confirmation SMS, Candidates will get his user id and password on his mobile number. This data should secure in a safe place. It will be needed during the time of the application process.
Application Process for Quota Students
Those who are applying for the quota, they should have to use Quota keyword at the end of the Unit name in First SMS. The keywords are Son of Freedom Fighter (CFF), Grandson of Freedom Fighter (GFF), Tribes (TQ), Non-Tribes (NTQ), Ward Quota (WQ). The SMS format is given below for the quota students.

How to download Admit Card
Candidates have to download admit card of the exam. Students will be notified through SMS when admit card is available.
Essential Documents for Admit card
- 300 x 300-pixel colored photo which is less than 100 KB
- 300 x 80-pixel Signature which is less than 60 KB
- User ID and Password
RMSTU Admit Card Download Process
- Go to rmstu.teletalk.com.bd
- Click on the Admission
- Log in by inputting User ID and Password
- Upload your Image and Signature
- Select district
- Get your admit card
- Print two copies colored admit card
How to recover RMSTU Admission ID and Password
RMSTU Admission ID can be recovered. There are two ways of recovering RMSTU Admission ID. First one is through SMS and the Second one is collecting from Registrar office.
Recover User ID through SMS
From your Mobile Message option Type an SMS in the following format

Collecting USER info from Registrar Office
A candidate can easily collect the information from the Rangamati Science and Technology University Registrar office. In this case, they have to pay 200/= BDT fee for the information.
RMSTU Admission Test System
RMSTU will take MCQ exam from the interested candidates. Total 100 Marks MCQ Test will be taken from the candidates. Again, 100 marks are counted from the SSC and HSC GPA. 40% marks of SSC and 60% marks of HSC will be counted. All the marks will be counted except 4th subjects. For each wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.

Pass Marks of RMSTU Admission Test
Students have to get 36 marks for getting admission in RMSTU. The Quota Applicants should have to get 30 Marks.
To get admission in Computer Science and Engineering departments candidates have to get 7 marks in both Bangla and English. They also have to obtain 7 marks individually in Physics and Chemistry.
For the Management, students have to get at least 3 marks in Bangla and English
RMSTU Admission Test Seat Plan and Date
The details seat plan of RMSTU Admission test will be provided in the official websites of RMSTU. The official website link is www.rmstu.edu.bd. The national dailies will also publish the seating plan and exam date.
RMSTU Admission Test Result 2023
