University grant commission of Bangladesh published blacklisted private universities list of 2024. These universities are illegally running their activities. The education ministry of Bangladesh alerts the students about these universities. Every student who is intended to get admitted into the universities of Bangladesh should be careful about these universities.

The following listed universities are Blacklisted by UGC Bangladesh. Students should be aware of those universities.
IBAIS University
IBAIS University has no UGC-approved address. The student should not be admitted to this university. Several cases are filed in Court. According to the Court Decision, All the campuses of this university are not authorized by the UGC of Bangladesh.
Queens University
UGC Bangladesh gives notice to this university to full fill the requirements. After they fulfill the requirement, this university can start class. The Ministry of Education approved Queens University on 6/9/2015 to fulfillment of all conditions within one year. The deadline for compliance has expired.
Unapproved Illegal Building/Campuses of Universities
Below listed universities are running some Illegal Campuses. The Education Ministry filed a notice against them. The student should take precautions before admission.
Victoria University of Bangladesh: Unapproved Building/Campus run by the University according to the official UGC website.
Bangladesh University: Unapproved Building/Campus run by the University according to the official UGC website.
University of Development Alternative: Unapproved Building/Campus run by the University according to the official UGC website.
Southeast University: Unapproved Building/Campus run by the University according to the official UGC website.
Presidency University: Unapproved Building/Campus run by the University according to the official UGC website.
European University of Bangladesh: Unapproved Building/Campus run by the University according to the official UGC website.
Unapproved Programs of Different Universities
Below Listed Universities are legal. They have government approval. But they are running some illegal programs or courses in their institutions.
North South University: As per UGC the university is approved to run the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) only. But under this 1 program unabiding the law they are illegally running multiple programs like – BBA in General BBA, in Finance BBA in Human Resource Management (HRM), BBA in International Business, BBA in Marketing, BBA in Management, BBA in Management Information Systems, BBA in Accounting, BBA in Economics, BBA in Entrepreneurship, BBA Supply Chain Management. Students are requested not to take admission to those courses at North South University.
Asian University of Bangladesh: Without the approval of UGC this University is running the MBA Executive & MBA Evening program. It has been over 9 years since there is no authority hired by the dean. And they have been illegally admitting students in the MBA program over specified seat capacity. So the students must stay alert about the Asian University of Bangladesh.
The University of Comilla: In this University the Academic Programs have not yet started. Cases are running in the court. The University of Comilla is still not approved to run its Academic Programs. So the students should not apply for admission to this University.
Unapproved Authorities of Universities
Cases are running on the Board of Trustees of the following Universities. Establishing a university, it needs to set up a Board of Trustees. If there is any mismanagement or disorder in the Management, it creates a problem. The Existence of the University becomes threatened. Below 2 university trustee members are running cases against one another.
The People’s University of Bangladesh: In this University since its foundation there is still no treasurer hired by the dean. The contract of the VC expired on 26-11-2021. Also, there is no one hired as Pro-VC. So it is clear that students should be aware and stay away from getting admitted to The People’s University of Bangladesh.
Britannia University: According to UGC there is conflict among BoT (Board of Trustees) members of the Britannia University authority. So students should be aware of it for future purposes.

The above list is from UGC Official Website. Some of the University already closed their temporary campuses. By the way, the Illegal campus doesn’t refer to Blacklisted. Only the campus of those areas is blacklisted.

u r include int. islamic university as a black listed university but i think u r don’t know recently iiuc closed their outer campus and they are shift in permanent campus.so now u remove iiuc name from ur black list.
Thanks, Abdul Kaium I have mentioned that Only Kumira Campus in Chittagong is approved by UGC (University Grant Commission). Other Campuses are not legal. I know that they have shifted their students to the main campus. Though they closed the campuses but they possessed the campus , Anytime they may start their activities. This post is about to aware the students.

remove Southern from your blacklist. Southern hasn’t any illegal campus now. We have Mehdibag campus & Arefin Nagor permanent campus. Both of them are approved and legal.
I have just got this list from UGC. UGC banned their Temporary Campuses which are mentioned above. If they run again those campus without permission UGC then it will be illegal Campus
